The true form of Ghoul is unknown and it is presumed to be an rift entity similar to the "Mayhem." Practically all of their bodies are hidden within large folds of fabric, with only four clawed appendages showing from underneath.
Our world is not a haven. In fact, most of the otherworldly entities that came following the disorder of space and whose life cycles are based on the Rift Entity of Stardust find it difficult to stabilize their existence in a material world where Stardust is thin.
Devouring, assimilation, parasitizing, and fusion can become a barricade for survival, albeit a thin gossamer of one sometimes.
