The X-parasaurus reproduces by laying fertilized eggs after mating. Incubation temperature must stay between 24°C and 28°C - use Air Conditioners, Standing Torches, or Dimetrodons to maintain the range. At the correct temperature, the egg hatches in approximately 1 hour and 25 minutes.
The baby X-parasaurus takes approximately 1 day and 2 hours to fully mature at default rates - slowly. During the baby phase (0–10%), hand-feed it directly. From 10% onward (juvenile), it can eat from a Feeding Trough.
Mutations can add +2 levels to any stat and change colors. Stacking mutations across generations is the key to min-maxed breeding lines. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.
Raising a baby X-parasaurus involves three maturation phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~159 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~11h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~13h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.
Don't skip imprinting - each successful imprint boosts the X-parasaurus's stats, and hitting 100% grants a 30% combat bonus when the imprinter rides it. Imprint requests include cuddling, walks, and specific kibble - check the wiki for which kibble to stockpile.
Planning a mass raise? The X-parasaurus raising calculator breaks down food needs per phase so nothing goes to waste. Expect ~159 minutes of active care during the Baby phase before it graduates to trough-feeding as a Juvenile.
Adjust the dino count to calculate food for multiple X-parasaurus babies at once - essential for batch breeding operations. Match your food choice to your play schedule - longer spoil timers mean less babysitting.
ARK: Survival Ascended features the X-parasaurus as a tamable, herbivore creature that survivors will encounter in the wild. Classified under the Variant group.
Health-wise, the X-parasaurus sits at 194 base, making it on the squishy side. Its base Melee Damage sits at 105%, giving it solid damage output. Its base Stamina of 450 gives it respectable staying power. It carries 480 base Weight - good carrying capacity.
To tame the X-parasaurus, you need to knock it unconscious using torpor weapons, then feed it while it's down. For best results, use Basic Kibble - it gives the highest taming efficiency.
Once tamed, the X-parasaurus earns its keep through resource gathering, making tedious farming runs much faster. Breeding produces fertilized eggs that hatch within a 24°C–28°C temperature window. Killing a wild X-parasaurus yields 1 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.14 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
