The ギガントピテクス is a tamable, herbivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. Classified under the Misc group.

Stamina sits at 300 base, providing decent staying power. Melee starts at 100% - decent hitting power that scales with level-ups. Starting at 640 Health, it's impressively tough. Weight capacity starts at 220, giving it average weight tolerance.

The ギガントピテクス is passively tamed - approach it carefully and feed it by hand without knocking it out. Its preferred food is Regular Kibble.

Once tamed, the ギガントピテクス earns its keep through resource gathering, making tedious farming runs much faster. It gives live birth after a gestation period, making breeding straightforward. Killing a wild ギガントピテクス yields 20 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.35 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
