Overview

How it plays

Plant a turret, watch it shoot things. Pistolero deploys a cactus turret that fires continuously at nearby enemies with no further input required, on a 40 second cooldown, which is quietly one of the better passive damage sources in the game.

Strategy

Place turrets to cover your flanks or protect an objective you're defending. Casting Strikes on a turret position triggers the Cactus combo, releasing lightning from the turret in all directions. Recast as soon as the cooldown allows to keep a turret up as often as possible.

Weaknesses

  • Turrets have fixed placement and can't reposition
  • Limited effectiveness against fast-moving enemies that kite around them

    Doubled Pistolero

    Pistolero turret thrown through Elec Portal spawns a second turret on the other side, so two turrets means double sustained DPS until they expire. With every player now carrying their own two portals, you can set this up far more often.
