The Zeppelin is a massive, passive flyer that can be tamed and bred. It features a unique passive taming method, making it accessible without knockout mechanics or narcotics. This creature excels as a mobile base platform due to its flyer mobility and tamable nature, useful for aerial outposts or transport hubs.
Zeppelin does not currently spawn on any ARK: Survival Ascended map, or spawn data is not yet available.
The Zeppelin is tamed passively, requiring no torpor or sedation. Approach it and feed it directly while it remains calm. Use the Chain Bola or a Bear Trap / Large Bear Trap to immobilize it during feeding if needed for safety. No specific food is required for taming.
Killing a Zeppelin yields Hide, Raw Meat, and Raw Prime Meat. The Hatchet yields the most Hide, while the Pick maximizes Raw Meat. Dinos with Prime harvesting capabilities gather the most Raw Prime Meat.
Estimates based on game-extracted data (weights, quantities, harvest multipliers, damage type chains). Each harvest event independently rolls each resource - higher weight = higher drop chance. Actual yields vary with RNG.
The Zeppelin has extreme vulnerabilities to certain damage types. It takes +1400% more damage from explosions and from Melee DmgMetal RaidDino attacks, making it highly susceptible to raid mechanics and explosive weaponry. Projectile Fire and ShooterDamageTypeBP Fire deal +400% damage, so flame-based ranged attacks are also very effective.
18 base × 15.9 level × 4 × 1.25× wild kill × 1× server
Official servers use non-1× defaults; the values above already reflect official rates.
| Stat | Base (Lv.1) | Wild +/Lv | Tamed +/Lv |
|---|---|---|---|
| 20000.0 | +4000.00 | +4.00% | |
| 1800.0 | +36.00 | +0.80% | |
| 0.0% | +0.00% | +0.00% |
The Zeppelin has a head hitbox zone that takes 3× damage, making headshots highly effective for faster takedowns. Focus attacks on the head when immobilized for optimal efficiency.
Use a Chain Bola to safely immobilize the Zeppelin during passive taming.
A Bear Trap or Large Bear Trap can pin the Zeppelin in place, preventing movement during feeding.
It is highly vulnerable to explosive damage, so avoid combat zones with explosives or siege weapons.
Due to its passive tame mechanic, no narcotics or torpor management is required.
This page details the Zeppelin's taming, breeding, harvesting, and combat statistics. Refer to the in-page taming and breeding calculators for precise values, and consult the spawn map for location distribution across ARKs.
