Required Narcotics

Use the torpor and starve timers to track your Yi Ling tame in real time. Starve taming is recommended for valuable high-level Yi Ling: let the Food stat deplete first, then add food. This way nothing is wasted if something goes wrong.
The Yi Ling is a tamable, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. It belongs to the Wall Runner category.
Its base Stamina of 300 gives it moderate endurance. Melee starts at 100% - solid damage output that scales with level-ups. At 325 base HP, the Yi Ling is reasonably durable. It carries 140 base Weight - average weight tolerance.
The Yi Ling is a knockout tame: apply enough torpor to knock it out, then place food in its inventory. For best results, use Exceptional Kibble - it gives the highest taming efficiency.
As a tame, the Yi Ling is primarily used for resource harvesting, excelling at gathering specific materials. Breeding produces fertilized eggs that hatch within a 38°C–42°C temperature window. Defeating one in the wild grants 18 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.26 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
