Overview

The Yeti is a large herbivore found in cave biomes. It excels at harvesting a wide variety of plant-based resources while being carried by larger creatures. Its primary utility comes from its ability to gather large quantities of berries, seeds, wood, and rare flora while mounted. It can be airlifted by Argentavis, Karkinos, Quetzal, or Tusoteuthis for rapid deployment to resource nodes.

Spawn Locations

14 maps

Yetis spawn in cave systems across 14 ARK maps. They are uncommon, so sightings are infrequent. Focus searches in deep underground zones where green markers on the spawn map indicate higher density.

Estimates based on game-extracted data (weights, quantities, harvest multipliers, damage type chains). Each harvest event independently rolls each resource - higher weight = higher drop chance. Actual yields vary with RNG.

Gathering Abilities

The Yeti gathers resources using its two attacks, both effective on multiple categories. It harvests Berries, Crop Seeds, Mejoberry, Narcoberry, Rare Flower, Stimberry, Mushrooms, Rare Mushroom, Plant Species X Seed, Plant Species Y Seed, Wood, Cactus Sap, and Fiber. Each attack yields up to 10× on most plant-based resources, making it highly efficient. Mejoberry, Narcoberry, and Stimberry are gathered at maximum efficiency.

Damage Resistances

The Yeti takes +400% more damage from spike walls, making them extremely effective for defense. It is highly resistant to fire, taking -60% damage from fire-based attacks. Explosions and certain melee attacks also exploit significant weaknesses. Level Health to offset its vulnerability to area denial tools.
