Wyvern Overview
Wyvern is a flying carnivore in ARK: Survival Ascended, is commonly used for scouting and quick travel between locations. As a carnivore, it responds to a special taming method - favoring Kibble (Argentavis Egg) - and ships with 400 base Weight, providing good carrying capacity. It gives live birth after a gestation period, with offspring maturing at a glacially slow pace - plan for a multi-day commitment. Survivors lean on it to gather Hide, Raw Prime Meat, Sulfur at much higher rates than hand tools. Players target Wyvern once they need a reliable workhorse beyond the starter mounts.
