Required Narcotics

Below are the narcotic requirements for keeping the Turkey sedated throughout taming. Narcotics provide 40 Torpor each and are the standard choice. Bio Toxin offers 80 Torpor but is harder to farm. Narcoberries at 7.5 each are a last resort. The Turkey bleeds 0.1 Torpor/s, so keep a close eye on the bar and sedate early.

Starve & Torpor Timers

Use the torpor and starve timers to track your Turkey tame in real time. Torpor monitoring prevents premature wakeups. The starve timer is for the starve-tame method - let Food drop, then load all kibble at once to avoid waste.

The Turkey is a tamable, herbivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. It falls within the Ignore classification.

Stamina sits at 100 base, providing limited endurance. Melee starts at 100% - respectable melee power that scales with level-ups. Starting at 40 Health, it's extremely fragile. Weight capacity starts at 50, giving it minimal inventory space.

The Turkey is a knockout tame: apply enough torpor to knock it out, then place food in its inventory. Base Veggie is the most effective food for taming, offering the highest affinity per feeding.

As a tame, the Turkey is primarily used for resource harvesting, excelling at gathering specific materials. Breeding produces fertilized eggs that hatch within a 22°C–30°C temperature window. A wild Turkey is worth 0.5 base experience when killed. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0 Element plus 0 Element per level.
