The Titanosaur is a massive herbivore and soaker, capable of carrying heavy loads with significant weight reductions. It features a special passive taming method that requires knocking it out and equipping its saddle to complete the process. This creature excels at transporting large quantities of resources, making it ideal for base relocation and large-scale farming operations.
It can be airlifted by Quetzal or Karkinos for fast deployment.
The Titanosaur spawns on 13 ARK maps and is very commonly encountered. It typically appears in open plains and forested highlands where vegetation is abundant. Look for the densest spawn clusters in the central and northern regions of most maps.

Taming a Titanosaur requires a knockout method. You must first knock it out by targeting its head. Once unconscious, equip the saddle to finalize the taming process. The base torpor is 25,000, so prepare accordingly. Use Tranq Arrows or a Fabricated Sniper Rifle for efficient sedation. A Chain Bola can help immobilize it during the process. The entire taming takes several minutes. Use the calculator below for your settings.
To tame a Titanosaur, you must first knock it out by targeting its head. Once it’s unconscious, equip it with the saddle to complete the taming process.
Killing a Titanosaur yields Sauropod Vertebra, Hide, Raw Meat, and Raw Prime Meat. The Hatchet yields the most Hide, while the Pick maximizes Raw Meat output.
Estimates based on game-extracted data (weights, quantities, harvest multipliers, damage type chains). Each harvest event independently rolls each resource - higher weight = higher drop chance. Actual yields vary with RNG.
The Titanosaur has a +400% weakness to SpikeWall damage, making spike walls extremely effective against it. It resists Instant damage by 90%, Melee Dino damage by 70%, and fire-based attacks by 60%. Explosion damage is also highly effective, dealing +50% more. Focus on using spike walls or explosives in defense.
