The Titanoboa is a large carnivore commonly tamed for its unique utility in transport and weight reduction. It cannot be bred but excels at carrying heavy resources efficiently due to its passive taming and inventory weight reduction traits. It can be airlifted by Quetzal or Karkinos for fast deployment across long distances.
Players typically tame the Titanoboa to streamline resource hauling while benefiting from its ability to be carried by flying creatures for rapid mobility.
The Titanoboa spawns on 22 ARK maps and is very common. It can be found in caves, deserts, forests, swamps, and wastelands. The highest spawn density is typically shown in green on the spawn map, making these areas ideal for locating one quickly.

The Titanoboa is tamed passively, requiring no knockout. Feed it a Large Egg to begin taming; this is the most effective food. Medium Egg also works, though slightly slower. Place the egg directly into its inventory while dismounted or use the off-hand feed option. The taming process takes about 20 minutes with no narcotics needed. Use the calculator below for your settings.

Killing a Titanoboa yields Titanoboa Venom, Hide, Raw Meat, and Raw Prime Meat. The Hatchet yields the most Hide, while the Pick maximizes Raw Meat. For Prime Meat, use a dino that gathers with Prime status.
Estimates based on game-extracted data (weights, quantities, harvest multipliers, damage type chains). Each harvest event independently rolls each resource - higher weight = higher drop chance. Actual yields vary with RNG.
The Titanoboa takes +120% more damage from Instant HurtDinos, making it highly vulnerable to certain dino attacks. It is 100% resistant to Mining Drill Harvest damage. Melee attacks with metal weapons deal 55% more damage to it, while ranged turret and projectile impact damage is reduced by 50%. Level Health and Melee Damage.

The Titanoboa has a head hitbox multiplier of 2.5x, making headshots highly effective for faster knockout. Focus attacks on the head to maximize torpor gain per hit.

The Titanoboa takes +120% damage from dino-based instant damage sources, making it vulnerable in combat. It is completely immune to damage from mining drills, useful in specific scenarios. It can be carried by Argentavis, Desmodus, Karkinos, Megalosaurus, Quetzal, or Tusoteuthis for fast travel. Its inventory reduces weight on multiple key resources, ideal for hauling. It does not gather resources while ridden, so use it strictly for transport. It cannot be bred, limiting population to wild tames only.
