The Snow Owl reproduces by laying fertilized eggs after mating. Incubation temperature must stay between 12°C and 13.5°C - use Air Conditioners, Standing Torches, or Dimetrodons to maintain the range. At the correct temperature, the egg hatches in approximately 2 hours and 56 minutes.
The baby Snow Owl takes approximately 2 days and 6 hours to fully mature at default rates - over a lengthy period. During the baby phase (0–10%), hand-feed it directly. From 10% onward (juvenile), it can eat from a Feeding Trough.
Mutations can add +2 levels to any stat and change colors. Stacking mutations across generations is the key to min-maxed breeding lines. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.
Raising a baby Snow Owl involves three maturation phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~327 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~22h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~27h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.
Imprinting during maturation provides permanent stat bonuses. At 100% imprint, the Snow Owl gains 30% bonus damage and resistance when ridden by the imprinter. You'll be asked to cuddle, walk, or feed specific kibble at regular intervals during maturation.

Planning a mass raise? The Snow Owl raising calculator breaks down food needs per phase so nothing goes to waste. Expect ~327 minutes of active care during the Baby phase before it graduates to trough-feeding as a Juvenile.
Adjust the dino count to calculate food for multiple Snow Owl babies at once - essential for batch breeding operations. Match your food choice to your play schedule - longer spoil timers mean less babysitting.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.
The Snow Owl, a tamable, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended, is well-known across multiple maps. Classified under the Healer group.
Starting at 325 Health, it's decently sturdy. Dealing 100% base Melee Damage, the Snow Owl brings respectable melee power to the table. Stamina sits at 350 base, providing respectable staying power. It carries 375 base Weight - generous inventory space.
You'll need to knock the Snow Owl unconscious before taming it. Tranquilizers are the standard approach. Superior Kibble is the most effective food for taming, offering the highest affinity per feeding.
As a tame, the Snow Owl earns its keep through resource gathering, making tedious farming runs much faster. It reproduces by laying eggs, which must be incubated between 12°C and 13.5°C. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.45 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
