Rock Elemental
Survivors looking at Rock Elemental in ARK: Survival Ascended will find a land-based minerals that is a practical workhorse - it can both gather and haul resources efficiently. Tamed via knockout taming (Sulfur is the optimal food), this minerals enters service with 25,000 base Health - an absolute bullet sponge. Breeding is disabled for Rock Elemental, so each individual must be obtained directly rather than raised. Survivors lean on it to gather Crystal, Stone, Obsidian along with several other resources at much higher rates than hand tools. Players who invest in one tend to keep it long after the early game has been left behind.
The Rock Elemental spawns on 15 maps, typically found in most regions of the map. Green cells indicate high spawn density, red means low. Click a cell to see exact spawn chance. If you can't find any, try clearing creatures nearby to free up the population cap.

Harvesting a Rock Elemental provides 6 resources - Crystal, Stone, Obsidian among them. The corpse has 3,000 harvest health, allowing multiple hits before it's fully depleted.

The Rock Elemental can damage: Thatch, Wood, Stone. It can break Stone structures, so only Metal-tier builds are fully safe from it.
