Rhyniognatha Overview

Rhyniognatha is a flying omnivore in ARK: Survival Ascended, is prized as a flying transport, capable of hauling large inventories over long distances. Tamed via a special taming method, this omnivore enters service with 1100 base Weight, providing an enormous weight pool. Breeding is disabled for Rhyniognatha, so each individual must be obtained directly rather than raised. Once tamed it harvests Chitin, Raw Meat more efficiently than most player tools. It earns its place in the stable for survivors looking to graduate from early-game tames.

Taming

To tame a Rhyniognatha, first dispatch one, collecting the Rhyniognatha Pheromone it drops. Transfer this pheromone to a larger dinosaur’s inventory and allow it to ingest it. Next, seek out a female Rhyniognatha, reducing her health to under 10%. This will lead her to impregnate your dinosaur. During the gestation period, provide your dino with its desired foods. After a while, your new Rhyniognatha will emerge.
