Ravager

Climber · 15 maps

Official servers currently have boosted rates! You don't need to change settings in our calculator.

Overview

The Ravager is a carnivorous climber known for its ability to reduce the weight of carried resources. It cuts the inventory weight of Wood, Fiber, Metal, Stone, Thatch, Crystal, Obsidian, Fungal Wood, and Congealed Gas Ball by -50%. This makes it ideal for transporting bulk materials across difficult terrain. It can be airlifted by Argentavis, Karkinos, Megalosaurus, Quetzal, or Tusoteuthis for fast deployment.

Ravagers are primarily used to haul large quantities of heavy resources while minimizing encumbrance.

Spawn Locations

15 maps

Ravagers spawn in bio-zones, caves, and fertile zones across 15 ARK maps. They are uncommon, so sightings are infrequent. Focus searches in the green-marked zones on the spawn map for the highest density.

Ravagers must be knocked out before taming. Use a Bola, Bear Trap, or Plant Species Y to immobilize it. Then sedate with Tranq Arrow, Tranquilizer Dart, or Shocking Tranquilizer Dart from a Bow, Crossbow, or Longneck Rifle.

Feed Raw Mutton for the fastest taming. Cooked Lamb Chop also works well. The process takes about 20 minutes and requires 7 units of Raw Mutton at level 224. No Narcotics are needed. Use the calculator below for your settings.

Drops & Harvest Resources

Killing a Ravager yields Hide, Raw Meat, and Pelt. The Hatchet provides the most Hide and Pelt, while the Pick maximizes Raw Meat yield.

Estimates based on game-extracted data (weights, quantities, harvest multipliers, damage type chains). Each harvest event independently rolls each resource - higher weight = higher drop chance. Actual yields vary with RNG.

Gathering Abilities

While ridden, the Ravager excels at gathering berries, fiber, mushrooms, organic polymer, rare flowers, seeds, and wood. Its Claw attack harvests Berries, Citronal, Longrass, Mejoberry, Narcoberry, Organic Polymer, Rare Flower, and Rockarrot at 10× efficiency. The Bite and Howl attacks yield Silk at 10× and AnglerGel, Fiber, and Pelt at 2×.

Weight Reduction

The Ravager reduces the weight of Wood, Fiber, Metal, Stone, Thatch, Crystal, Obsidian, Fungal Wood, and Congealed Gas Ball by -50%. Pair with a Argentavis or Quetzal to maintain this reduction during aerial transport.
