The baby R-Direwolf takes approximately 2 days to fully mature at default rates - over a lengthy period. The most labor-intensive part is the baby phase (0–10% maturation) when it can't use a Feeding Trough yet.
Each baby inherits stats from both parents with a chance of mutation - +2 wild levels to a random stat plus a color change. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.
The R-Direwolf's growth progresses through three stages: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~292 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~19h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~24h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.
Imprinting during maturation provides permanent stat bonuses. At 100% imprint, the R-Direwolf gains 30% bonus damage and resistance when ridden by the imprinter. Keep various kibble types on hand, as imprint requests are randomized between cuddles, walks, and kibble feeding.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.
Found throughout the ARKs, the R-Direwolf is a tamable, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. Classified under the Variant group.
With 105% base Melee Damage, the R-Direwolf has solid damage output. Starting at 320 Health, it's decently sturdy. Stamina sits at 260 base, providing average stamina. It carries 170 base Weight - modest carrying capacity.
Taming the R-Direwolf requires rendering it unconscious first - use Tranq Arrows, Darts, or Shocking Tranq Darts to apply torpor. Feed it Superior Kibble for the fastest tame and highest effectiveness bonus.
