The Pulmonoscorpius is a small carnivore often tamed for its utility in weight reduction and transport. It is notable for being carryable by several flying and aquatic creatures, enabling rapid deployment across difficult terrain. It can be airlifted by Argentavis, Desmodus, Karkinos, Megalosaurus, Quetzal, or Tusoteuthis for fast deployment.
This dino is commonly used as a mobile inventory reducer and transportable combat pet in early to mid-game scenarios where weight efficiency matters.
Pulmonoscorpius spawns across 22 ARK maps, appearing in a wide range of biomes including caves, deserts, forests, mountains, and volcanic zones. It is very commonly found, making it accessible to most survivors. Green zones on the spawn map indicate the highest density areas for locating this creature.

Pulmonoscorpius must be knocked out before taming. The best food is Regular Kibble, which provides the fastest taming with minimal torpor management. Spoiled Meat also works well if kibble is unavailable.
Use a Bola or Bear Trap to immobilize it. KO tools include the Bow, Crossbow, and Longneck Rifle with tranq ammo. Taming takes around 14 minutes with 8 kibble at level 224. No narcotics are needed. Use the calculator below for your settings.

Killing a Pulmonoscorpius yields Chitin and Raw Meat. The Pick harvests the most Raw Meat, while the Dino (Omnivore) tool yields the highest amount of Chitin.
Estimates based on game-extracted data (weights, quantities, harvest multipliers, damage type chains). Each harvest event independently rolls each resource - higher weight = higher drop chance. Actual yields vary with RNG.
Pulmonoscorpius has a strong vulnerability to Instant HurtDinos, taking +120% more damage. It also takes +100% more damage from spike walls, making it highly susceptible to defensive traps.
