Overview
The Pelagornis is a flyer that specializes in gathering polymer and organic resources from aquatic nodes. It reduces Polymer and Organic Polymer weight by -80%, making it ideal for efficient polymer farming runs. Players tame it to streamline harvesting large quantities of polymer-based resources from underwater deposits.
It can be airlifted by Quetzal or Karkinos for fast deployment to remote ocean sites.
Spawn Locations
14 mapsPelagornis spawns on 14 ARK maps and is very common. It typically appears near coastlines and over open water where aquatic resource nodes are abundant. Look for its silhouette gliding above the waves to spot it quickly.

Pelagornis must be knocked out before taming. Use a Bola, Bear Trap, or Plant Species Y to immobilize it. Then use Tranq Arrows from a Bow, Crossbow, or Compound Bow, or Tranquilizer Darts from a Longneck Rifle to sedate it.
Tame with Regular Kibble for the fastest results. Raw Mutton also works well. The process takes about 30 minutes and requires no Narcotics. Use the calculator below for your settings.
