Ovis Taming Calculator

Found throughout the ARKs, the Ovis is a tamable, herbivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. Classified under the Farmer group.

With 100 base Stamina, the Ovis has tires quickly. Dealing 100% base Melee Damage, the Ovis brings decent hitting power to the table. With 100 base Health, the Ovis is very frail. Weight capacity starts at 90, giving it very limited carrying capacity.

Taming the Ovis doesn't require unconsciousness. Instead, sneak up to it and hand-feed its preferred food. Its preferred food is Sweet Vegetable Cake.

After taming, the Ovis earns its keep through resource gathering, making tedious farming runs much faster. Breeding is via live birth rather than eggs, simplifying the process. Killing a wild Ovis yields 1 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.79 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
