Oasisaur Overview
Survivors looking at Oasisaur in ARK: Survival Ascended will find a flying herbivore that serves as a powerful aerial pack animal for transporting resources across the map. Tamed via a special taming method (Plant Pot is the optimal food), this herbivore enters service with 20,000 base Health - one of the toughest creatures in the game. Oasisaur cannot be bred and remains a wild-only or single-instance creature for those who tame one. Once tamed it harvests Keratin, Raw Meat, Raw Prime Meat and other materials more efficiently than most player tools. That combination of survivability and damage is why Oasisaur sits on most endgame mount shortlists.
Spawn Locations
10 mapsFound across 10 maps in mountains, cliffsides, and elevated terrain. Green zones have the highest spawn density. Each species has a population cap per area, so wiping out other creatures nearby can trigger new Oasisaur spawns.

Taming
To tame an Oasisaur, climb onto its back and place a Death Essence (from a deceased breedable creature) into the oasis pool. A baby clone of the sacrificed creature spawns in the pool, starting a defense minigame. Protect the baby from waves of vultures. Complete all waves to instantly tame the Oasisaur.

You can gather Keratin, Raw Meat, Raw Prime Meat, Hide from a Oasisaur corpse. The corpse has 1,200 harvest health, allowing multiple hits before it's fully depleted.
