Mosasaurus
Maturation has three phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~1111 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~74h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~93h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.
Imprint bonuses are significant: a fully imprinted Mosasaurus gains 30% extra damage and damage resistance with its imprinter mounted. You'll be asked to cuddle, walk, or feed specific kibble at regular intervals during maturation.

Planning a mass raise? The Mosasaurus raising calculator breaks down food needs per phase so nothing goes to waste. The Baby phase (0–10%) takes ~1111 minutes and is the most hands-on, requiring direct feeding or a Maewing.
Raising multiple Mosasaurus simultaneously? Set the dino count and the calculator scales food requirements automatically. Match your food choice to your play schedule - longer spoil timers mean less babysitting.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.
Instead of laying eggs, the Mosasaurus carries its young through a gestation period. Gestation takes approximately 8 hours at default rates.
After hatching or birth, the baby Mosasaurus matures at a glacially slow pace - plan for a multi-day commitment, reaching adulthood in about 7 days and 17 hours at 1x maturation. Hand-feeding is required until 10% maturation. After that, a Feeding Trough handles the rest.
Mutations can add +2 levels to any stat and change colors. Stacking mutations across generations is the key to min-maxed breeding lines. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.
The Mosasaurus, a tamable, aquatic, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended, is well-known across multiple maps. It belongs to the Water category.
Dealing 100% base Melee Damage, the Mosasaurus brings solid damage output to the table. At 3,600 base HP, the Mosasaurus is one of the toughest creatures in the game. With 400 base Stamina, the Mosasaurus has good endurance. A base Weight of 1300 means massive inventory space.
You'll need to knock the Mosasaurus unconscious before taming it. Tranquilizers are the standard approach. For best results, use Exceptional Kibble - it gives the highest taming efficiency.
As a tame, the Mosasaurus is a versatile aquatic mount for underwater exploration and resource gathering. Breeding is via live birth rather than eggs, simplifying the process. Defeating one in the wild grants 15 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.88 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
