The Mek is a crafted, mechanized combat unit designed for high-damage engagements. It excels in destroying enemy structures and is immune to torpor, making it ideal for raiding and defense operations. Players craft a Mek to dominate the battlefield with powerful attacks and full stat customization.
Mek does not currently spawn on any ARK: Survival Ascended map, or spawn data is not yet available.
Taming a Mek is done through crafting, not traditional taming methods. You must assemble it using Element-based resources. The primary components are Element, Element Shard, and Element Dust, all of which are required during construction. It cannot be immobilized or sedated like wild creatures. Mek is craftable.
Killing a Mek yields Hide and Raw Meat. The Hatchet provides the most Hide, while the Pick yields the highest amount of Raw Meat.
Estimates based on game-extracted data (weights, quantities, harvest multipliers, damage type chains). Each harvest event independently rolls each resource - higher weight = higher drop chance. Actual yields vary with RNG.
The Mek has a critical vulnerability to Instant HurtDinos, taking +120% more damage from them. It is also weak to SpikeWall and Explosion Demolition, gaining +100% and +50% damage respectively. Conversely, it is highly resistant to MiningDrill Harvest, taking -100% damage, and resists ranged turrets and certain melee impacts by 50%. Level Health and Melee Damage.

The Mek has a head hitbox that takes 1.5× damage, making headshots effective for faster destruction. Focus fire on the head zone during combat or when dismantling an enemy Mek.
The Mek takes +120% damage from Instant HurtDinos, making it vulnerable to certain environmental hazards.
It is weak to SpikeWall damage, so avoid deploying it in spike-heavy defensive zones.
The Mek is immune to torpor, allowing uninterrupted operation during combat.
It can be remotely piloted and fully customized for stat distribution.
Its Laser Beam attack has a 37-meter range, ideal for long-distance structure targeting.
