Spawn Locations
Locomotive does not currently spawn on any ARK: Survival Ascended map, or spawn data is not yet available.
The Locomotive must be knocked out before taming. Use a Bola or a Bear Trap to immobilize it, then apply sedatives with ranged weapons. The only taming food is Superior Kibble. Taming takes about 25 minutes with optimal settings. Use the calculator below for your settings.
Drops & Harvest Resources
Killing a Locomotive yields Hide and Raw Meat. The Hatchet yields the most Hide, while the Pick favours Raw Meat.

Damage Resistances
The Locomotive has a +750% weakness to Explosion damage, making explosive weapons extremely effective. It is completely immune to Melee, Projectile, Instant, and Explosion NoMetal damage, taking 100% less from these sources. It also resists Engine damage by 65%.
