Tame Giganotosaurus using the knockout method. Use Bear Trap or Large Bear Trap to immobilize it, or entrap it with Plant Species Y. Sedate with Tranq Arrow from a Bow or Crossbow, or use Tranquilizer Dart from a Longneck Rifle. Feed it Exceptional Kibble for fastest results. Raw Mutton also works well. The process takes around 73 minutes and requires about 517 Narcotics. Use the calculator below for your settings.

Killing a Giganotosaurus yields Giganotosaurus Heart, Hide, Raw Meat, and Raw Prime Meat. The Hatchet harvests the most Hide, while the Pick maximizes Raw Meat yield.
Estimates based on game-extracted data (weights, quantities, harvest multipliers, damage type chains). Each harvest event independently rolls each resource - higher weight = higher drop chance. Actual yields vary with RNG.
