18 mapsGiganotosaurus spawns commonly in Cave and Wasteland biomes. It appears across 17 ARK maps, with higher concentrations often found in underground systems and arid highlands.

Tame Giganotosaurus using the knockout method. Use Bear Trap or Large Bear Trap to immobilize it, or entrap it with Plant Species Y. Sedate with Tranq Arrow from a Bow or Crossbow, or use Tranquilizer Dart from a Longneck Rifle. Feed it Exceptional Kibble for fastest results. Raw Mutton also works well. The process takes around 73 minutes and requires about 517 Narcotics. Use the calculator below for your settings.
