Fire Wyvern Egg & Breeding Calculator

After a successful mate, the Fire Wyvern lays a fertilized egg. Incubation temperature must stay between 80°C and 90°C - use Air Conditioners, Standing Torches, or Dimetrodons to maintain the range. At the correct temperature, the egg hatches in approximately 4 hours and 59 minutes.

After hatching or birth, the baby Fire Wyvern matures at a glacially slow pace - plan for a multi-day commitment, reaching adulthood in about 3 days and 20 hours at 1x maturation. Hand-feeding is required until 10% maturation. After that, a Feeding Trough handles the rest.

Mutations can add +2 levels to any stat and change colors. Stacking mutations across generations is the key to min-maxed breeding lines. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.

The hatched dinosaur, now a baby, needs constant attention and food placed directly in its inventory to survive, or a nearby Maewing to take care of its needs.

The dinosaur reaches the juvenile stage, where it can now eat from a feeding trough, reducing the need for direct feeding.

23:08:53
The dinosaur reaches the adolescent stage, becoming more independent and able to follow you while continuing to grow toward full maturity.

Raising a baby Fire Wyvern involves three maturation phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~556 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~37h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~46h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.

Don't skip imprinting - each successful imprint boosts the Fire Wyvern's stats, and hitting 100% grants a 30% combat bonus when the imprinter rides it. Imprint requests include cuddling, walks, and specific kibble - check the wiki for which kibble to stockpile.

Planning a mass raise? The Fire Wyvern raising calculator breaks down food needs per phase so nothing goes to waste. The Baby phase (0–10%) takes ~556 minutes and is the most hands-on, requiring direct feeding or a Maewing.

Raising multiple Fire Wyvern simultaneously? Set the dino count and the calculator scales food requirements automatically. Match your food choice to your play schedule - longer spoil timers mean less babysitting.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.

Found throughout the ARKs, the Fire Wyvern is a tamable, flying, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. It falls within the Flyer classification.

Its base Stamina of 315 gives it decent staying power. Dealing 100% base Melee Damage, the Fire Wyvern brings solid damage output to the table. The Fire Wyvern has 1,295 base Health - among the tougher creatures. It carries 400 base Weight - generous inventory space.

After taming, the Fire Wyvern is commonly used for scouting and quick travel between locations. It reproduces by laying eggs, which must be incubated between 80°C and 90°C. Killing a wild Fire Wyvern yields 120 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.82 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
