Dragon
Dragon stands among ARK: Survival Ascended's boss creatures - an arena fight that demands preparation, strong mounts, and good positioning. Tamed via a special taming method (Raw Prime Fish Meat is the optimal food), this carnivore enters service with 20,000 base Health - an absolute bullet sponge. It gives live birth after a gestation period, with offspring maturing over an extremely long period, one of the longest in the game. Its harvest profile centers on Hide, Raw Meat, Raw Prime Meat, making farming runs noticeably faster. Beating it is a milestone unlock, gating tek progression for the tribes that can pull it off.
Found across 16 maps in mountains, cliffsides, and elevated terrain. Green zones have the highest spawn density. Each species has a population cap per area, so wiping out other creatures nearby can trigger new Dragon spawns.
