Boss
The Desert Titan is a massive boss-class creature with a unique taming mechanic centered around purifying corrupted areas on its body. It features a special passive taming method that requires precision to avoid damaging the Titan directly, which reduces taming effectiveness. Once tamed, it provides an in-built Platform Saddle and can be controlled from a dedicated cockpit, making it ideal for aerial combat and transport operations over hostile terrain.
It can be airlifted by Quetzal or Karkinos for fast deployment.
Desert Titan does not currently spawn on any ARK: Survival Ascended map, or spawn data is not yet available.
Taming the Desert Titan uses a Special Passive method, requiring players to eliminate corruption spots on its body without harming the Titan itself. Direct damage reduces taming effectiveness, so precision is key. The process lasts approximately 24 hours once successfully initiated. Use the calculator below for your settings.
To bring a Desert Titan under your control, aim to eliminate the corruption spread across its form. Ensure you target only the corrupted spots to maintain taming effectiveness, as harming the Titan directly reduces it. Once tamed, Titans offer an in-built Platform Saddle, but they’re maneuvered from a distinct cockpit. Remember, Titans are tamed for only a 24-hour period.
Killing a Desert Titan yields Desert Titan Trophy, Hide, Raw Meat, Corrupted Nodule, and Raw Prime Meat. The Hatchet harvests the most Hide and Corrupted Nodule, while the Pick maximizes Raw Meat. Dino (Prime) is required for the highest yield of Raw Prime Meat.
Estimates based on game-extracted data (weights, quantities, harvest multipliers, damage type chains). Each harvest event independently rolls each resource - higher weight = higher drop chance. Actual yields vary with RNG.
The Desert Titan has a +300% weakness to Explosion Demolition Siege damage, making it highly vulnerable to siege weaponry. It also takes +200% damage from Explosion TekProjectile Missile and +160% from Melee DmgMetal TekSword Mek. Conversely, it resists Melee DmgMetal TekSword and Melee Torpidity None MetalWeapon by -80%, as well as Ranged Turret Small DefensePlant and Instant damage. Focus on explosive siege tactics for maximum effectiveness.

Target only the corrupted spots during taming to maintain effectiveness, as direct damage to the Titan reduces taming progress.
The tamed Desert Titan includes an in-built Platform Saddle, eliminating the need for separate saddle crafting.
It is controlled from a distinct cockpit interface, not standard rider controls.
It can be carried by Quetzal and Karkinos, enabling rapid deployment to distant zones.
Its +300% vulnerability to Explosion Demolition Siege makes it exceptionally weak against cannon-based defenses.
