Deinonychus Overview
Deinonychus is a land-based carnivore in ARK: Survival Ascended, is primarily used for resource harvesting, excelling at gathering specific materials. As a carnivore, it responds to a special taming method - favoring Simple Kibble - and ships with 100% base Melee Damage, giving it respectable melee power. Breeding pairs lay fertilized eggs requiring 40°C–45°C incubation, after which juveniles reach adulthood over a lengthy period. Once tamed it harvests Hide, Raw Meat more efficiently than most player tools. Players target Deinonychus once they need a reliable workhorse beyond the starter mounts.
