In ARK: Survival Ascended, Chalicotherium occupies the harvester niche - earns its keep through resource gathering, making tedious farming runs much faster. It is a herbivore tamed through passive taming, with Beer Jar as its top-tier food, and brings 400 base Weight, providing good carrying capacity to the table. It gives live birth after a gestation period, with offspring maturing over many real-world days, demanding serious time investment. Once tamed it harvests Hide, Raw Meat, Raw Prime Meat more efficiently than most player tools. Players target Chalicotherium once they need a reliable workhorse beyond the starter mounts.
