Bloodstalker

Climber

Overview

The Bloodstalker is a carnivorous climber. It is tamed passively by allowing it to carry you while feeding it Blood Packs. This dino excels at rapid traversal across vertical terrain and can be airlifted for fast deployment. It can be carried by Quetzal or Tusoteuthis to extend its operational range.

Spawn Locations

Bloodstalker does not currently spawn on any ARK: Survival Ascended map, or spawn data is not yet available.

Taming a Bloodstalker is done passively. Carry Blood Packs in your inventory and allow the creature to grab you, then feed it Blood Packs while it carries you. Blood Packs (Lvl 1-140) are the most effective food. About 1641 Blood Packs are needed at level 150 on official rates. Use the calculator below for your settings.

Drops & Harvest Resources

Killing a Bloodstalker yields Chitin and Raw Meat. The Dino (Omnivore) harvest tool yields the most Chitin, while the Pick maximizes Raw Meat.

Estimates based on game-extracted data (weights, quantities, harvest multipliers, damage type chains). Each harvest event independently rolls each resource - higher weight = higher drop chance. Actual yields vary with RNG.

Damage Resistances

The Bloodstalker has a +120% weakness to Instant HurtDinos, making it highly vulnerable to explosive traps. It takes +100% more damage from spike walls, making these highly effective in base defense. It is also weak to explosions and melee attacks from metal weapons. Avoid using Mining Drill Harvest, as it deals no damage.
