Incubation temperature must stay between 32°C and 38°C - use Air Conditioners, Standing Torches, or Dimetrodons to maintain the range. At the correct temperature, the egg hatches in approximately 6 hours and 14 minutes.

The baby Basilisk takes approximately 7 days and 17 hours to fully mature at default rates - over many real-world days, demanding serious time investment. The most labor-intensive part is the baby phase (0–10% maturation) when it can't use a Feeding Trough yet.
