Aureliax
Aureliax is tamed through a unique egg-gifting ritual. Approach a wild Aureliax and mount it directly - shoulder pets and companions must be unequipped or the taming prompt won't appear. Using a fast mount like a Managarmr to clear nearby threats and a Rare Flower to lure the Aureliax closer to the ground is recommended. Once mounted, the Aureliax requests specific gifts such as a Bow or Metal Pick (any quality works). After receiving a gift you'll be dismounted mid-air, so equip Tek Boots or carry Parachutes to survive the fall. The Aureliax then transforms into an egg that slowly drifts to the ground. Staying near the landed egg triggers a five-wave defense event similar to an Element Node defense. Each wave spawns Neophytes marked as "Aureliax Defense." Neophytes resist tamed creature damage, so bring high-damage weapons like a Pump-Action Shotgun or Fabricated Crossbow along with Flak Armor. After clearing all five waves the egg becomes claimable. Raise it like any carnivorous baby to finish the tame.
The Aureliax is passively tamed - no tranquilizers required. Approach carefully and hand-feed it.
Use the feeding timer to know when the Aureliax will accept its next meal. No more guessing between feeds.
