Survivors looking at Astral Megalodon in ARK: Survival Ascended will find an aquatic carnivore that roams the ARK as a wild, untamable creature. Astral Megalodon cannot be tamed through conventional methods and is encountered with 9,600 base Health - one of the toughest creatures in the game. It gives live birth after a gestation period, with offspring maturing requiring significant patience. Survivors lean on it to gather Raw Fish Meat, Raw Prime Fish Meat at much higher rates than hand tools. That combination of survivability and damage is why Astral Megalodon sits on most endgame mount shortlists.
