The Aberrant Spino reproduces by laying fertilized eggs after mating. Incubation temperature must stay between 30°C and 32°C - use Air Conditioners, Standing Torches, or Dimetrodons to maintain the range. At the correct temperature, the egg hatches in approximately 3 hours and 50 minutes.
The baby Aberrant Spino takes approximately 2 days and 23 hours to fully mature at default rates - slowly. During the baby phase (0–10%), hand-feed it directly. From 10% onward (juvenile), it can eat from a Feeding Trough.
Mutations can add +2 levels to any stat and change colors. Stacking mutations across generations is the key to min-maxed breeding lines. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.
Raising a baby Aberrant Spino involves three maturation phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~427 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~28h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~36h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.
Imprinting during maturation provides permanent stat bonuses. At 100% imprint, the Aberrant Spino gains 30% bonus damage and resistance when ridden by the imprinter. You'll be asked to cuddle, walk, or feed specific kibble at regular intervals during maturation.

Planning a mass raise? The Aberrant Spino raising calculator breaks down food needs per phase so nothing goes to waste. Expect ~427 minutes of active care during the Baby phase before it graduates to trough-feeding as a Juvenile.
Adjust the dino count to calculate food for multiple Aberrant Spino babies at once - essential for batch breeding operations. Match your food choice to your play schedule - longer spoil timers mean less babysitting.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.
ARK: Survival Ascended features the Aberrant Spino as a tamable, carnivore creature that survivors will encounter in the wild. It falls within the Variant classification.
Its base Melee Damage sits at 106%, giving it solid damage output. The Aberrant Spino has 773 base Health - impressively tough. Its base Stamina of 350 gives it respectable staying power. It carries 350 base Weight - generous inventory space.
To tame the Aberrant Spino, you need to knock it unconscious using torpor weapons, then feed it while it's down. For best results, use Exceptional Kibble - it gives the highest taming efficiency.
As a tame, the Aberrant Spino earns its keep through resource gathering, making tedious farming runs much faster. Breeding produces fertilized eggs that hatch within a 30°C–32°C temperature window. Killing a wild Aberrant Spino yields 60 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.67 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
