The Aberrant Electrophorus is a water-dwelling carnivore variant found in the Aberration biome. It passively tames and provides a unique utility through its electrical attacks, which can incapacitate nearby threats. This creature is primarily used for defense in aquatic environments or as a mobile source of electricity generation. It can be airlifted by Quetzal or Karkinos for fast deployment.
Its compact size and passive taming make it easy to integrate into underwater bases or mobile platforms.
The Aberrant Electrophorus spawns in Bio Zones, caves, and Fertile Zones across 9 ARK maps. It is considered uncommon, meaning players may need to explore multiple locations to locate one. The green zones on the spawn map indicate the highest spawn density.

Taming is done passively by feeding it directly. The best food is Bio Toxin, which provides the fastest taming. Raw Mutton also works well due to its high affinity. About 13 units of Bio Toxin are needed. The taming process takes around 2 minutes with no Narcotics required. Use the calculator below for your settings.

Killing the Aberrant Electrophorus yields Raw Fish Meat. The Pick is the best tool for maximizing harvest quantity.
Estimates based on game-extracted data (weights, quantities, harvest multipliers, damage type chains). Each harvest event independently rolls each resource - higher weight = higher drop chance. Actual yields vary with RNG.
The Aberrant Electrophorus has a strong vulnerability to Instant HurtDinos, taking +120% more damage. It is highly resistant to Mining Drill Harvest, taking -100% damage. Melee attacks from metal weapons or raiding dinos exploit a +55% weakness. Use ranged or non-metal weapons when defending against it.

The Shock attack deals 35 damage unmounted with a 10.2-meter range. Tamed, it deals 5 damage with a 3-second cooldown.
It takes +120% more damage from Instant HurtDinos, making it vulnerable to spike traps.
Immune to damage from Mining Drill Harvest due to -100% resistance.
Can be safely tamed without knockouts or immobilizers due to passive taming mechanics.
Works well in underwater defense setups thanks to electrical attacks.
