Aberrant Carbonemys spawns in cave and fertile-zone biomes across 14 ARK maps. It is very rare, so sightings are infrequent and often require thorough exploration of deep underground networks. The green zones on the spawn map indicate the highest density areas for locating this elusive creature.

Taming an Aberrant Carbonemys requires a knockout method. Use a Bow, Crossbow, or Compound Bow with Tranq Arrows to sedate it. Immobilize the creature first using a Chain Bola, Bear Trap, or Large Bear Trap to prevent escape. The best food is Regular Kibble, which provides the fastest taming effectiveness.
