Deviation O-022 is a perennial carnivorous plant that resembles a member of the Amaryllidaceae family. It is characterized by its large subterranean bulb that features a horizontal opening from which several interlocking cloves extend, forming a structure resembling a grinning mouth. Despite its appearance, this "mouth" cannot bite, nor does it serve any other function.
O-022 has a germination period of about one week, and takes five months to fully mature. Mature individuals demonstrate some degree of animalistic behavior and are able to move in search of water or fresh soil using the dense roots below their bulbs. O-022 has been observed to grow in any area, and thus cannot be fully secured in practice.
O-022's primary Deviation Trait is its olfactory cognito-effect.All of its parts exude a long-lasting, irritating, and pungent odor. Humans and animals exposed to this odor may experience physiological symptoms including loss of smell, nerve pain, and convulsions. Severe anxiety and anger also result, causing the affected subject to attempt to destroy O-002 in the most direct way possible, such as trampling or biting it.
Unlike normal Amaryllidaceae plants, the bulb of a mature O-022 specimen contains a dense tissue fluid. If O-022 is damaged, it will spray this tissue fluid over a wide area. Once it comes into contact with the air, the tissue fluid will emit an even stronger odor than O-022 itself.
Furthermore, if the tissue fluid comes into direct contact with an organism, the latter will start indiscriminately attacking all other directly contacted organisms without concern for its own safety. This behavior can produce fatal consequences in a very short time. O-022 reproduces by .
