Version 0.2.0.20 improves Banjo healing and weapon XP, lowers blueprint and Wandering Trader prices, swaps the first and third Frost unlocks, and fixes more than 100 bugs. The balance changes and important gameplay fixes are listed below.
Patch 0.2.0.20
Balance: weapons, Frost progression and rewards
Knuckles and Lasso XP multipliers increase from 0.5 to 0.7. Banjo XP rises from 0.6 to 1.0 and now includes XP for health restored to other players and yourself. Banjo base damage increases from 8 to 9, slam damage from 20 to 25, and healing radius from 650 to 1024 game units. Lullabard healing radius increases from 1300 to 2048. Dual Revolvers regain the Attack Speed upgrade. Frost Breeze is now the first Frost spell (level 1), and Cube is third (level 12). Hold attack while casting Cube to cancel its initial animation and spawn it faster. Cryptic Horseman Joker rewards: Normal 0%, Fine 50%, Prime 20%, Mythic 20%, Legendary 10%. Wandering Trader prices are now 10, 20, 30, 45 and 55, replacing 10, 20, 35, 50 and 65. Primary and secondary blueprint costs fall from 12 to 8; utility blueprint costs fall from 6 to 4.
World, missions, enemies and progression fixes
Woodlands and Jungle now award their additional difficulty XP. Snake kills with melee slaps count in the Bestiary. Horseman spawn placement and falling through the floor are fixed. Deadeyes stop moving and rotating when frozen and no longer spawn inside walls or ceilings. Cryptics no longer incorrectly spawn behind the lobby train. Ally NPCs have a safeguard against getting stuck. Starting an Anvil storm replaces an existing storm. Lighthouse ore and Coyotes are visible to clients after completion. Copy Press ink no longer resets from 4 to 5 after a map secret. The Precious ping in Hellfire shows the correct item. Dropped Jungle torches no longer roll endlessly or clip through terrain. The skull-alignment minigame no longer completes prematurely. Arizona Jones no longer interrupts door unlocking to draw her weapon, fixing a multiplayer quest blocker. Dwarf protects mounts from underground lava. Other fixes cover the Overseer dialogue softlock, Ghost Hunter promo textures, blueprint pings, dropped held items after disconnects, mounted chat input, shield decay timing, minimap interaction blocking, shield visuals, localization and weapon scale after dismounting.
Weapon and spell fixes
Minigun spin and rev audio continue correctly with aiming enabled. Knuckles, Banjo and Lasso work correctly with toggle aiming. Banjo no longer shows extra chords as full immediately on equip. Bow inspection is disabled while charging. Boomerang and secondary-weapon lifesteal work correctly. Sheriff Star Draw Speed now reduces the actual pre-fire delay. Melee weapons gain charge against Sky Cannon, Cryptic Saloon and Cryptic Train, and no longer gain charge from shielded enemies. Punches show damage numbers at the shooting range. Piercing bullets no longer repeat on-impact Joker effects on invalid targets. Frost Bridge accepts electricity on both host and client; Boomerang, Sheriff Star, Banjo and arrow projectiles apply Elec correctly. Cactus Pistolero displays its element correctly for clients. Cactus plus Elec Strikes no longer damages the caster. Voodoo Corruption no longer targets the Coyote.
Joker fixes
Swift Shot activates only while aiming. Relentless grants the intended +30% damage at low health; Last Dance grants +30% movement speed instead of roughly +36%. Scout's Honor begins working at game start and maintains its 10-point shield floor when no damage is taken. Switchshot boosts the whole shotgun blast. Scrub Hit preserves Mark Ace. Magic Friendship with Tin Man no longer grants unintended shields during loading or extraction; Tin Man requires full health. Riposte boosts the entire Boomerang throw or shotgun blast. Last Stand no longer overheals clients. Consumer plus Magic Reload no longer wastes ammunition after a spell cast and weapon switch. Vampire works with melee and the Train/Saloon bosses, and excludes overkill damage from lifesteal. Execute kills trigger on-kill effects and increase kill streaks. Coinflip correctly applies +100% or -50% weapon damage. Ricochet secondary impacts preserve Eagle Lever stacks. Spell Roulette no longer gets stuck on Cactus Mino at high cooldown reduction. Fanning Ace can chain consecutive reloads correctly without the indefinite high-reload-speed exploit. Homing Burst triggers on shot eight. Jump Star extra jumps end when switching weapons. Bardbarian rapid follow-up inputs no longer cause a second-slam softlock. Swamp Trick explosions no longer cause self-damage. Ultra Draw detonates Pyro gold mines and produces its fully charged explosion correctly. Sky Lash triggers when attacking empty air.
Performance, quality of life and boss changes
Vulkan SM5 is supported with Steam launch options -vulkan -sm5. Inventory caching reduces CPU work in menus. Gamma and HDR fixes accompany GPU, Linux Vulkan and mission-start crash fixes, plus a frequent disconnection fix. Disconnect messages now include reasons and technical codes. Audio fixes address HDD cinematic timing, surround output, stacked enemy death sounds and mission-start pings. Steam profile buttons work again. The Twitch settings tab is temporarily removed until ready. Arizona Jones moves 29% faster as an NPC. Sky Lash preserves momentum. The Refiner excludes undroppable Jokers. Aiming with the Minigun reduces field of view by 5 degrees. Bow charge sounds are louder with Overdraw and Ultra Draw. Train and Necromancer arenas each gain one ammo bag. Acid Geyser plus Elec is more reliable; both Elec and Frost Geyser combinations display COMBO. The lobby music disc can be dropped with the interact button. Leaderboard emotes use the correct angle, and chat works during the ending cinematic. Cryptic Vulture no longer chases players, and its dome arena is smaller to compensate.
