Devious Painting Ⅰ

This Devious Painting is a 77cm x 53cm oil painting on yellowed canvas with cracked edges, depicting the southern part of the Dayton Wetlands. It contains special markings highlighting a particular location. Radiometric dating indicates that the artwork was painted in the early 20th century. The painting can be altered, but any signs of alteration disappear after 24 hours. Attempts have been made to remove the special markings from the painting through erasure, paint overlay, tearing, and ███, but the special markings reappear within 12 hours. Even if the area containing the mark is cut away, the missing section regrows itself like skin healing over a wound.
