Reaper King Overview
Survivors looking at Reaper King in ARK: Survival Ascended will find a land-based carnivore that is primarily used for resource harvesting, excelling at gathering specific materials. Tamed via a special taming method (Raw Mutton is the optimal food), this carnivore enters service with 45,000 base Health - an absolute bullet sponge. Breeding is disabled for Reaper King, so each individual must be obtained directly rather than raised. Once tamed it harvests Hide, Raw Meat more efficiently than most player tools. Players who invest in one tend to keep it long after the early game has been left behind.

Taming
To tame a Reaper in Ark: Survival Evolved, you must first locate and provoke a Reaper Queen in the depths of the Aberration’s radioactive areas. Ensure you’re at full health, as you’ll need to allow the Queen to drop your health below 10% for her to initiate her impregnation attack. Once impregnated, escape and avoid death until the gestation process completes. Upon birth, the baby Reaper will emerge, and you’ll need to claim it quickly. Remember, the baby Reaper will only eat Nameless Venom, so have a good supply on hand to feed and nurture it to adulthood.

Drops & Harvest Resources
You can gather Hide, Raw Meat from a Reaper King corpse. The corpse has 500 harvest health, allowing multiple hits before it's fully depleted.
