Overview
The X-Woolly Rhino is a herbivorous variant creature from Genesis: Part 1, biome-locked and featuring a 5% melee damage increase but 3% reduced health. It excels at gathering plant-based resources quickly while ridden, making it a specialized forager for early to mid-game farming. It can be airlifted by Quetzal or Tusoteuthis for rapid deployment across large maps.
This variant is primarily used to harvest high volumes of berries, seeds, fiber, and wood from nodes without needing to dismount.
Spawn Locations
X-Woolly Rhino does not currently spawn on any ARK: Survival Ascended map, or spawn data is not yet available.
Tame the X-Woolly Rhino using knockout methods. Use a Bow or Crossbow with Tranq Arrows to sedate it safely. Immobilize it first with a Chain Bola, Bear Trap, or Large Bear Trap to prevent escape. Superior Kibble is the best taming food. Base Veggie also works well and provides decent affinity. About 14 Superior Kibble are needed. The tame takes around 42 minutes and requires 49 Narcotics. Drops & Harvest Resources
Killing an X-Woolly Rhino yields Hide, Raw Meat, Keratin, and Pelt. The Hatchet provides the highest quantity for Hide, Keratin, and Pelt, while the Pick maximizes Raw Meat harvest.

Damage Resistances
The X-Woolly Rhino takes +120% more damage from Instant HurtDinos sources, making it highly vulnerable to certain environmental hazards. It also suffers +100% more damage from spike walls and +55% from metal melee attacks. Conversely, it is highly resistant to fire, taking -60% damage. Avoid fire-based weapons when attacking it. Level Health and Melee Damage for optimal performance.

X-Woolly Rhino Tips & Tricks
The X-Woolly Rhino gathers most plant resources at a 10× multiplier, making it exceptionally fast for farming nodes. Fiber and Cactus Sap are gathered at 8× efficiency, still high compared to other herbivores. It is highly vulnerable to spike walls, taking double damage, so avoid placing it near such defenses. Due to its resistance to fire, it can survive longer in fire-damaged zones than most creatures. It can be carried by Quetzal, enabling aerial repositioning during large-scale foraging ops. Its melee damage is increased by 5% compared to the base Woolly Rhino, improving node clearance speed.
