Variant
To tame the X-Raptor, you need to knock it unconscious first. Tranq Arrows, Tranq Darts, and Shocking Tranq Darts all work. The X-Raptor loses Torpor at 0.1 per second while unconscious - stay on top of narcotics.

Check the taming results to see how long it takes to tame the X-Raptor, what effectiveness you'll achieve, and how many bonus levels it gains. Better food means better results.
Below are the narcotic requirements for keeping the X-Raptor sedated throughout taming. Bio Toxin is twice as potent as Narcotics (80 vs 40 Torpor per use), while Narcoberries work in a pinch at just 7.5 Torpor each. With Torpor draining at 0.1/s, don't wait until the bar is nearly empty to apply narcotics.
Track the taming process with the timers below - they monitor both Torpor and starvation progress. Torpor monitoring prevents premature wakeups. The starve timer is for the starve-tame method - let Food drop, then load all kibble at once to avoid waste.
The X-Raptor, a tamable, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended, is a common sight across multiple maps. It falls within the Variant classification.
With 194 base Health, the X-Raptor is not particularly tanky. With 105% base Melee Damage, the X-Raptor has respectable melee power. Its base Stamina of 150 gives it moderate endurance. It carries 140 base Weight - modest carrying capacity.
Taming the X-Raptor requires rendering it unconscious first - use Tranq Arrows, Darts, or Shocking Tranq Darts to apply torpor. Feed it Simple Kibble for the fastest tame and highest effectiveness bonus.
Once tamed, the X-Raptor is primarily used for resource harvesting, excelling at gathering specific materials. It reproduces by laying eggs, which must be incubated between 20°C and 28°C. Killing a wild X-Raptor yields 3 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.23 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
Estimated time until optimal feeding point: 5m 41s
Food to consume through starvation: 341
Target food level: 3859
Use the knockout chart to see exactly how many Tranq Arrows, Darts, or other torpor weapons it takes to down the X-Raptor. Space your shots to let torpor accumulate - rapid firing risks killing it before knockout.
To simplify the knockout, immobilize the X-Raptor first with Bola or Bear Trap. Alternatively, use a Argentavis to airlift it into a pre-built trap.
