Variant
X-Paraceratherium is a massive herbivorous creature variant from Genesis: Part 1. It benefits from a +5% Melee Damage multiplier but suffers a -3% Health penalty compared to the standard Paraceratherium.
It can be carried by Tusoteuthis, enabling deep-sea transport and mobile base deployment. This makes it valuable for underwater operations and long-range aquatic hauling.
X-Paraceratherium does not currently spawn on any ARK: Survival Ascended map, or spawn data is not yet available.
Taming an X-Paraceratherium requires knockout via tranquilizing weapons. Superior Kibble is the most effective food, providing the fastest tame with no Narcotics needed.
Use a Bow, Crossbow, or Compound Bow with Tranq Arrows to sedate it. Immobilize it first with a Chain Bola, Bear Trap, or Large Bear Trap. The process takes about 43 minutes using 35 Superior Kibble. Use the calculator below for your settings.

Killing an X-Paraceratherium yields Hide, Raw Meat, and Raw Prime Meat. The Hatchet harvests the most Hide, while the Pick yields the highest amount of Raw Meat. Use a Dino (Prime) to maximize Raw Prime Meat collection.
Estimates based on game-extracted data (weights, quantities, harvest multipliers, damage type chains). Each harvest event independently rolls each resource - higher weight = higher drop chance. Actual yields vary with RNG.
While ridden, X-Paraceratherium gathers a variety of resources with its melee attack. It harvests Berries, Mejoberry, Narcoberry, Stimberry, Mushrooms, Rare Flowers, Rare Mushrooms, Wood, and Seeds at 10× efficiency. It also collects Cactus Sap and Fiber at 8× efficiency. This makes it highly effective for rapid plant-node farming.
X-Paraceratherium takes +400% more damage from spike walls, making them extremely effective for defense. It is highly resistant to fire, taking 60% less damage from fire-based attacks. It also takes 50% less damage from explosions involving projectiles with impact effects. Avoid using fire weapons against it. Level Health and Melee Damage for optimal performance.

The head has a 1.5× damage multiplier, making it the optimal target for faster knockouts. Focus attacks on this zone during taming attempts.

Numbers reflect base melee at level 1, 100% TE, no imprint. The damage calculator lets you scale by melee %, server multipliers, and pick a specific structure for exact hit counts.
The melee attack gathers Berries, Mejoberry, and Seeds at 10× efficiency, ideal for fast crop farming.
It is highly vulnerable to spike walls, taking +400% damage, making it a poor choice for defending against such traps.
Immobilize it with a Chain Bola or Bear Trap before beginning taming.
It can be carried by Tusoteuthis, enabling mobile underwater bases.
Resistant to fire attacks, taking only 40% of normal damage, allowing it to withstand flame-based enemies.
