Overview
The X-Dunkleosteus is a carnivorous aquatic variant of the Dunkleosteus, modified by the Genesis: Part 1 event. It reduces the weight of several resources in its inventory, most notably Obsidian by -75%. This makes it especially useful for harvesting and transporting heavy materials from deep ocean environments where its combat prowess and gathering efficiency shine.
Spawn Locations
X-Dunkleosteus does not currently spawn on any ARK: Survival Ascended map, or spawn data is not yet available.
Tame the X-Dunkleosteus via knockout using ranged weapons or melee tools. The best food is Superior Kibble, with Raw Mutton as a viable alternative. Tranquilizer Arrows from a Bow or Crossbow work well for sedation. The process takes about 40 minutes and requires no Narcotics. Use the calculator below for your settings.

Weight Reduction
The X-Dunkleosteus reduces inventory weight by -50% for Oil, Metal, Stone, Crystal, and Black Pearl, and by -75% for Obsidian. Pair it with a carrier like Quetzal to maintain weight reduction during aerial transport.
Damage Resistances
The X-Dunkleosteus takes +400% more damage from spike walls, making them highly effective for defense. It is also vulnerable to explosions and metal melee attacks.
