Overview
VR Karkinos is a variant carnivore creature. It is carryable and can be immobilized, making it suitable for knockout taming. It can be airlifted by Tusoteuthis for fast deployment.
Players tame VR Karkinos primarily to utilize its unique combat and transport capabilities in specialized scenarios.
Spawn Locations
VR Karkinos does not currently spawn on any ARK: Survival Ascended map, or spawn data is not yet available.
VR Karkinos must be knocked out before taming. Use a Chain Bola, Bear Trap, or Large Bear Trap to immobilize it. Tranquilizer weapons such as the Crossbow with Tranq Arrows or the Longneck Rifle with Tranquilizer Darts are effective for sedation.
The best food is Exceptional Kibble, requiring about 25 units. Taming takes around 62 minutes and needs approximately 17 Narcotics. Use the calculator below for your settings.

Damage Resistances
VR Karkinos has a strong resistance to Instant damage, taking -90% less. It is highly vulnerable to Instant HurtDinos attacks, taking +120% more damage. Spike walls also exploit a major weakness, dealing +100% more damage. Use area denial tactics with spike walls to maximize damage output.
