The Tek Stegosaurus is a large herbivorous variant creature. It reduces the weight of inventory items, making it highly efficient for resource transport. It can be airlifted by Quetzal or Tusoteuthis for rapid deployment across long distances.
This dino is primarily tamed to carry heavy loads with reduced weight, especially useful during extended gathering expeditions in hazardous biomes.
The Tek Stegosaurus spawns exclusively in the lunar biome. It is considered rare and appears on only one ARK map. Players should focus on high-elevation zones within this biome for optimal spawn chances.

Taming requires a knockout method. Use a Bow or Crossbow with Tranq Arrows to sedate it. Immobilize first with a Chain Bola or trap it in a Bear Trap.
Tame using Regular Kibble for the fastest affinity gain. About 32 kibble are needed. The process takes around 41 minutes with no narcotics required. Use the calculator below for your settings.

Killing a Tek Stegosaurus yields Scrap Metal, Electronics, Oil, and Element Dust. The Pick is the best tool for maximizing yields of all these resources.
Estimates based on game-extracted data (weights, quantities, harvest multipliers, damage type chains). Each harvest event independently rolls each resource - higher weight = higher drop chance. Actual yields vary with RNG.
The Tek Stegosaurus does not function as a gatherer while ridden.
Reduces Bingleberry weight by -75%. This allows for highly efficient inventory management when transporting large quantities. Pair with a Quetzal to maintain mobility during long-distance runs.
The Tek Stegosaurus takes +200% more damage from spike walls, making it extremely vulnerable in such defenses. It is highly resistant to fire, taking -60% less damage from fire-based attacks. Exploit its weakness with spike walls for maximum efficiency in combat.
