Shastasaurus
To tame a Shastasaurus, lure it to the ocean surface using 1-3 tamed Ichthyosaurus as bait. Once surfaced, dive underneath and use a Sickle to scrape three leeches off its belly. After clearing the leeches, feed it Extraordinary Kibble (or Raw Prime Fish Meat) at its mouth. Repeat the leech-removal and feeding cycle until taming completes. More Ichthyosaurus nearby extends the time it stays surfaced.

Found throughout the ARKs, the Shastasaurus is a tamable, aquatic, piscivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. Classified under the Water group.
With 4,500 base Health, the Shastasaurus is one of the toughest creatures in the game. With 100% base Melee Damage, the Shastasaurus has solid damage output. Its base Stamina of 300 gives it decent staying power. Weight capacity starts at 3000, giving it massive inventory space.
After taming, the Shastasaurus is well-suited for deep-sea exploration, cave diving, and ocean resource runs. Breeding is via live birth rather than eggs, simplifying the process. Defeating one in the wild grants 15 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.88 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
