Found throughout the ARKs, the Shadowmane is a tamable, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. It falls within the DMG classification.
Health-wise, the Shadowmane sits at 825 base, making it quite durable. With 100% base Melee Damage, the Shadowmane has decent hitting power. With 450 base Stamina, the Shadowmane has respectable staying power. A base Weight of 425 means a solid weight pool.
Taming the Shadowmane doesn't require unconsciousness. Instead, sneak up to it and hand-feed its preferred food. Its preferred food is Filled Fish Basket (1.5x Fish).
After taming, the Shadowmane earns its keep through resource gathering, making tedious farming runs much faster. Breeding is via live birth rather than eggs, simplifying the process.
