Raptor Taming Calculator
The Raptor is a knockout tame - render it unconscious with torpor weapons like Tranq Arrows or Shocking Tranq Darts, then feed it while it's down. Once unconscious, Torpor drains at 0.1/s, so keep Narcotics or Bio Toxin ready.

Required Narcotics
The table shows how many sedatives you'll need to keep the Raptor unconscious through the full taming duration. Bio Toxin is twice as potent as Narcotics (80 vs 40 Torpor per use), while Narcoberries work in a pinch at just 7.5 Torpor each. At 0.1 Torpor drain per second, apply narcotics proactively - a wakeup mid-tame wastes everything.
Starve & Torpor Timers
Track the taming process with the timers below - they monitor both Torpor and starvation progress. The torpor timer alerts you when narcotics are needed. The starve timer tracks Food depletion for starve-taming, where you let the food bar drop before placing all food at once.

The Raptor has 200 base Health - not particularly tanky. Melee starts at 100% - solid damage output that scales with level-ups. With 150 base Stamina, the Raptor has decent staying power. It carries 140 base Weight - modest carrying capacity.
The Raptor is a knockout tame: apply enough torpor to knock it out, then place food in its inventory. Feed it Simple Kibble for the fastest tame and highest effectiveness bonus.
After taming, the Raptor earns its keep through resource gathering, making tedious farming runs much faster. Breeding produces fertilized eggs that hatch within a 20°C–28°C temperature window. Defeating one in the wild grants 3 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.23 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
