R-Parasaur Egg & Breeding Calculator

The R-Parasaur reproduces by laying fertilized eggs after mating. Incubation temperature must stay between 24°C and 28°C - use Air Conditioners, Standing Torches, or Dimetrodons to maintain the range. At the correct temperature, the egg hatches in approximately 1 hour and 25 minutes.

Full maturation from baby to adult takes ~1 day and 2 hours (1x rate), progressing requiring significant patience. During the baby phase (0–10%), hand-feed it directly. From 10% onward (juvenile), it can eat from a Feeding Trough.

Offspring inherit parental stats and have a small chance to mutate, gaining +2 levels in a random stat. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.

The dino is inside an egg, needing specific conditions to incubate and hatch. The ideal temperature range is 24 - 28 °C.

The hatched dinosaur, now a baby, needs constant attention and food placed directly in its inventory to survive, or a nearby Maewing to take care of its needs.
Juvenile
10% - 50%
10:34:55
The dinosaur reaches the juvenile stage, where it can now eat from a feeding trough, reducing the need for direct feeding.
Adolescent
50% - 100%
13:13:39
The dinosaur reaches the adolescent stage, becoming more independent and able to follow you while continuing to grow toward full maturity.

Maturation has three phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~159 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~11h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~13h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.

Imprint bonuses are significant: a fully imprinted R-Parasaur gains 30% extra damage and damage resistance with its imprinter mounted. You'll be asked to cuddle, walk, or feed specific kibble at regular intervals during maturation.

The raising calculator above shows exactly how much food you need for each maturation phase of the R-Parasaur. Budget ~159 minutes for the Baby phase - this is when hand-feeding or Maewing nursing is mandatory.

Raising multiple R-Parasaur simultaneously? Set the dino count and the calculator scales food requirements automatically. Different food types have different spoil timers - factor that into which food you stockpile.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.

The R-Parasaur is a tamable, herbivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. It belongs to the Variant category.

At 194 base HP, the R-Parasaur is not particularly tanky. Melee starts at 105% - solid damage output that scales with level-ups. Stamina sits at 450 base, providing good endurance. Weight capacity starts at 480, giving it good carrying capacity.

The R-Parasaur is a knockout tame: apply enough torpor to knock it out, then place food in its inventory. Feed it Basic Kibble for the fastest tame and highest effectiveness bonus.

After taming, the R-Parasaur is primarily used for resource harvesting, excelling at gathering specific materials. Breeding produces fertilized eggs that hatch within a 24°C–28°C temperature window. A wild R-Parasaur is worth 1 base experience when killed. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.14 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
